Yearbooks are about memories, and our yearbook staff tries to capture them for you.  We strive to cover all the highlights of the school year, and with over 1500 students, the staff is challenged each year to make all students feel like they have been remembered in the yearbook.  We cannot do this without your help!  Please feel free to contact us anytime with any questions, concerns, or ideas.  After all, this entire book is about you, the LCHS family---Be part of it!!!

Interview with a Yearbook Staffer

Why did you join Yearbook?

 I joined Yearbook because I was curious to see what they did.  My friends who were seniors and I kind of thought their yearbooks were a little bit terrible.  So I figured that I would join and have some say in what the yearbook for our senior class looked like.

 What do you do in yearbook?

 In yearbook we basically have to figure out an attractive way to organize the pictures from events and sports in a creative way that is both eye catching, but you will remember what we where talking about in ten or so years.

 Is there a lot of work involved in yearbook?

 Definitely yes.  We have to make sure that we try to include everybody in the book and also we have to track down coaches and get rosters and opponents.  Most coaches are glad to help, but some have to be hounded.  Also we have to organize the senior pictures and type out all the bios.  The work really isn’t hard, but it’s definitely very tedious.

 What would you say to others about yearbook?

 I would have to say that if you interested in journalism or your creative and a hard worker than you’ll love yearbook.   It’s really fun, and you get to meet a bunch of people that otherwise you may have never talked to.  Also you get perspectives and thoughts on designing pages that you may never have thought of.
