Thanksgiving Pep Rally 2009
page 1
This PEP RALLY is an annual tradition at Classical. The football team plays its final game of the year against English HS, our traditional rival for the last hundred years or so. The Rally builds up excitement for game day tomorrow.
As the students started filing into the Gymnasium, whoops and cheers were already being yelled out. In fact, this was the loudest and most exciting Pep Rally in a long time. After the Concert Choir sang the Star Spangled Banner, Principal Constantino greeted the crowd and wished everyone a Happy Thanksgiving holiday. Athletic Director Bill Devin emceed the Rally. The football Cheerleaders then did a number of cheers and gymnastics very well. The Senior Girls Powder Puff Football Team Coach Jay Alicudo thanked the girls for all their efforts and they gave him and his assistants presents. Next, Senior Class President Cristian Lopez announced the results of the Senior King and Queen and their Court. You can find the results in the photos coming. Finally, Coach Phelps called out the football team, finally calling out Seniors one by one to present them with great-looking, personalized leather Varsity Jackets.
