This was a new year for the Classical boys tennis team. They had players from last year coming back and also got new players for the future. The tennis team started their season of against Marblehead on April 9, 2003.
The coach for the Classical boys tennis team is Ms. Pension. She also has some help this year with the addition of assistant coach Mr. Ep, who has begun to put the team in shape and help the players with their techniques. Says Ms. Pension, “I believe that we are going to be good this year because of the players we have coming back from last year and that give us experience.” She also says that they have added skill players to the team.
The team has three co-captains; they are Joshua Walsh, Aaron Leong, and David Skahan. Joshua Walsh is senior returning while Aaron Leong and David Skahan are returning juniors. They are the most experienced. Other returnees from last year are Tanim Ahmed, Dan Titus, Jarrid Legere, and Celestino Morales. This adds experience and the new players add depth to the team.
