Senior Class Performs a Mitzvah ( a good deed )

Lynn Classical's Senior Class of 2006 made it their first mission of this school year. They wanted
the families, whose lives were forever affected by Hurricane Katrina, to know that the
students, faculty, staff, and administration at LCHS care very much. The "Classical
Family" collected $1700.00 for the survivors of this tragedy. They presented a check for
this amount to the American Red Cross. The seniors were helped by their advisors,
Bobbiejo Flynn and Laine Averback, and Paul Hayward, Classical's art teacher.
Picture: Presenting a check for $1700.00 to the American Red Cross for the survivors of
Katrina are the LCHS senior class officers: Keith Sonia, Anthony Gioacchini, Yana Ros,
Tinh Phan, and Principal Warren White. Accepting for the Red Cross is Karen Hogan of the
Peabody chapter.

Senior Rumblings

Lamar Thomasson has decided to attend Salem State College this fall.  SSC has really grown in recent years, with about 8,800 undergraduate students, plus new dormitories and classroom buildings.

John Powell has been accepted at BU, BC, Northeastern, Merrimack, and UMass Lowell. And our star swimmer decides to go to Boston University in the Pre-Med program. Pre-Med means you work your tail off for 4 years in the hopes of getting into Medical School ( for another four years, then Internship, then Residency, then Fellowship, then you start making the big bucks.)

Connor Calnan has been accepted @ Johnson State College in Vermont and Suffolk University but decided on UMass Amherst. His major will be Bio-Science, where the future of the world will rely on him.

Rory Calnan was accepted to Sacred Heart University in Connecticut, but decided on University of New Hampshire (UNH), majoring in Business. UNH is extremely popular nowadays, having grown to over 10,000 undergraduate students.

Joseph Gorman was accepted at Suffolk University but chose Northeastern University's top-notch School of Criminal Justice.

Wadih Kanj will be attending UTI (Universal Technical Institute) in Norwood this fall, majoring in Automotive Engineering and Industrial Diesels.

Mike Coviello plans on going to Salem State College with a double major in Mathematics and Accounting. Double major means you take extra courses, but have more options when you graduate.

Lisa Gonzales has no doubts. University of Hartford is the place and Entrepreneurship is the major.  is a new major in many colleges around the country. The definition of entrepreneurship is an individual that organizes, operates, and takes on the risks of a business.

Nick Pitsis has been admitted to Rivier College, Salem State College, and Merrimack College, Providence College and Bentley. Bentley is the school of choice. Bentley is a great business school right here in Waltham.

A.J. Champigny is planning on studying Marketing and Computer Programming at North Shore Community College. He is heading for success ( if he can just crack their secret computer codes.)

Noelle Dulong will be going to Bridgewater State University as a Journalism major. Say nice things about us back home.

Ryan Civiello has gotten accepted to the very selective Eisenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst.

Makunda Manoogian is planning on majoring in Communications at Salem State College.      Definition :  A Communications professional seeks to inform, educate, persuade, or entertain masses of people, using books, newspapers, magazines, radio, TV, film, advertising and public relations.

Steve Delvecchio was admitted to both UConn and Northeastern.  And he chooses UConn (along with pal Big Ben.)  UConn has about 20,000 undergraduate students enrolled in 15 schools on its large campus in Storrs, Connecticut.

Meagan O'Neill is all ready to attend  Salem State College this fall. Salem State was started in 1854 as the Salem Normal School ( for teacher training.) Over 150 years later, there are now 32 major programs plus the Graduate School.

Terrence Thornton may be heading to Hesser College, a multi-campus school in New Hampshire.

Katie Liakopoulos was accepted at Salve Regina, UMass Amherst, University of New Hampshire, and Emmanuel College. Her decision is ..........Salve Regina, right on the ocean  in the beautiful estate area of Newport R.I.

Sandra Coulange will be a Nursing Major at Salem State College this fall. Thank goodness she decided to heal instead of destroy!

Justin Riley will be attending UTI (Universal Technical Institute) in Norwood this fall, majoring in Automotive Studies. Guess what, Justin, you'll be working with computers again !

John Sarit plans to be at Salem State College (SSC), majoring in Computer Sciences. SSC's Computer Science program is building a strong reputation in the region.

Daniel Srey hasn't decided yet, but is considering  the National Guard, Middlesex Community College, and Ben Franklin Institute in Boston ( for engineering, computer, or technical training.)

Kyleigh Porter is planning on going to North Shore Community College (NSCC) next year.     Factoid : Any student graduating from NSCC with a B average is automatically entitled to go to UMass.

Manise Louinard will also be a Nursing Major at Salem State College, but plans on continuing her fine basketball career.  Coach Shea's SSC teams have been selected to 23 straight post season tournaments including a Division III leading 22 NCAA bids. The Lady Vikings have captured 21 Conference Championships, competed in 4 Final Fours and won the 1986 National Championship.

Rachel Robertson is going to be a Communications Major at UMass Lowell in the fall. From Lynn to Lowell, it's a 35 mile drive from Rt.1 North to Rt.95 South to Rt.93 North.

Carline Douyon will be attending Marion Court College, a small business school in Swampscott. Formerly the summer White House of President Calvin Coolidge, it is one of the most magnificent locations in the Boston area.

Diane Gheringhelli has been accepted at the Whittemore School of Business at University of New Hampshire, Roger Williams, Bryant College, Salve Regina, and UMass Amherst. She's feels so popular !  Diane's final decision is - Roger Williams, a pretty school on the Narraganset Bay in Bristol , R.I., with 3800 undergraduate students

Meaghan Reddy was  accepted to Simmons College in Boston, into the Nursing program.  But she has decided on Northeastern University's program.

Ashley Donovan  has decided on  Quinnipiac College, with a Division 1 Women's Basketball program. We hope she can join Monique Lee, a Classical superstar and top player, on the Quinnipiac courts in Worcester.  CORRECTION : It is only a forty-five minute ride from  Quinnipiac to UConn.

Big Ben Smith has been accepted in the Pre-Med undergraduate program at UMass, Amherst. Ben also got admitted to UConn and Northeastern.   It looks like the final decision is UConn.        CORRECTION : It is only a forty-five minute ride from UConn to Quinnipiac.

Brendan Ekstrom hasn't decided for sure, but the Peterson School (for Electrician, Technician, and HVAC Licensing) in Woburn is a likely choice.

Molly Cavanagh is still undecided between Johnson and Wales, Franklin Pierce, and Salem State College. Does Molly like New Hampshire, Massachusetts, or Rhode Island better. You'll find out her decision when we do.

Andrew Richard has made the commitment.  He considered Providence and Merrimack , but  Babson College made Andrew an offer he couldn't refuse.

Dickie Field has received offers from University of New Hampshire (UNH), Wentworth Institute, and Emmanuel , but it looks like Northeastern University gets the nod.

Tinh Phan has finally heard from UMass Amherst and it's a go ! Go west ( about 95 miles,)  young man. That Adams Scholarship comes in handy at state colleges and universities.

Colleen Beaver got accepted into the Political Science Department at Salem State College.  But she has also been selected by Plymouth State, Franklin Pierce, and Fitchburg State and others.  She really is that popular !

Ly Sok has been admitted to Emmanuel, Bentley College, Northeastern, and UMass Amherst.

Alice Lao will be majoring in Biochemistry.  UMass Amherst has accepted her for admission but she is still waiting to hear from...

Hasan Elsadig  got accepted to Northeastern, Bowdoin, and Boston College, but he's thinking about going directly to graduate school at U.S. Robotics Corporation ???

Jackie Zimmerman has been accepted to University of Southern California's Film Program. It is a great school and a great achievement for Jackie.  We hope that USC, located in the heart of Los Angeles, is ready for Jackie !

Jacqueline ( aka Jacqui) Breault has been accepted to Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU), University of Vermont and Westfield State. She is still waiting to hear from Northeastern University and Bridgewater State.  ( Edmund better get direct connect. Calls from UConn to SNHU or UVM can be quite expensive ! )

Mike Jesoraldo is all set to play baseball for  UMass Lowell, a team that recently went to the Division 2 World Series. He'll be majoring in Criminal Justice (if he doesn't quit and go pro.)

Nancy Khun is planning on going to Salem State College, majoring in Business. If she does well, Nancy may go into the Fashion Clothing or Day Care business.

Ray Therrien is still trying to decide between Oxford University and North Shore Community College, but NSCC does have a very good Computer Science program ( and Oxfordians do drive on the wrong side of the road.)

We  hear Matthew Ecclesiastre  got into Cal State East Bay and will be studying Photojournalism and Filmmaking. This beautiful school looks down on San Francisco Bay in Northern California.

Mimoza Hysenaj may be attending Suffolk University, in the heart of Boston, in the fall.

Gloria Patten has changed her mind and decided to attend Eastern Nazarene College for Music Appreciation, not Gordon College.

Irene Santareas has received acceptances from Sacred Heart, Emmanuel, Quinnipiac, and Merrimack College. She's anxiously waiting to hear from UNH. More info soon...

It sounds like Evan Mezansky is heading to Franklin Pierce College to study Communications and Journalism. FPC is on pretty Pearly Pond in Rindge, New Hampshire.

We hear TJ Russell will be finished studying for  his auto mechanics license and building his first Lamborghini Kit Car before you can say "Vroooom".

Danny Thompson got accepted to both Wentworth Institute and UMass Lowell. He'll be studying engineering and hopes to be involved with a synchronized swimming team.

Matthew Cole was just accepted to Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, but he is still waiting to hear from his other applications. Wentworth focuses on training in architecture, computer science design, and engineering.

Jared Ward  will be running all the way to  Herkimer Community College in New York.  Jared will be majoring in Criminal Justice.  Factoid : The Herkimer Lacrosse team has a record of nine National Championships, with 21 consecutive Regional Titles.

Ashley Messina - Update 2/15/2006   - Ashley has  been accepted to Harvard University, Northeastern, and Stanford.  What to do ? Aside from having a great Swimming season so far, the captain of the Swim Team looks to be heading west next fall, as in Stanford University in beautiful Palo Alto, California. Stanford is considered one of the top 5 schools in the USA. The early action acceptance from Stanford is a real testament to Ashley's four years of serious school work at Classical.

Sean Anderson says he's heading up to UMass Lowell in the fall. But they don't have Super Seven Pizza there, Sean.

Anthony Gioacchini will be attending Mount Ida College (Newton, MA) in the fall.
Claim to Fame at Classical: Senior Class Vice President ( and he promises to use proper language in all his future campaign speeches.)
Joseph Gorman has been accepted to two colleges thus far.  They are Northeastern University and Suffolk University.  Still waiting on three more colleges.  Which will he pick?

Carla Fabian has been accepted  as an International Business major at Salem State College, and plans to  be running Track on the school team. Will the twins be separating ?

Eordea Sherifi (pronounced arid-eh-ya,  pleeez) may be heading to Beacon Hill, the center of Boston, to attend Suffolk University. Will the twins be separating ?

George Georgoudis is heading for Salem State's School of Nursing.  Go west to the ocean, go north on Rt 1A through Swampscott, Marblehead, and you can't miss SSC as soon as you enter Salem.

Jon Canty is going to knock heads with the Computer Science Department at Salem State College this fall. Good luck, Salem State, but don't let Jon download any games on your computers !

RamPage Editor Tara Vocino has been given Early Admission at Wheaton College,  a top quality Liberal Arts College located near the Rhode Island border, in Norton, MA.

Jonathan Pilch has been accepted at American International College in Springfield and U. of Bridgeport in Connecticut. Go west, young man. Unless you're thinking of going to Suffolk University on Beacon Hill - that's south of here.

Derek Cuozzo  was recently accepted to Nevada State College in Henderson, NV, which overlooks Las Vegas Valley. He can't wait to go!

Justin Scurio plans on going to Salem State next year but may need a new Audi sports car to get there.

Peter Kopoulos is ready to head for Salem State College, majoring in Business.
