third grade from the
The book of the day was 86 Years: The Legend of the Boston Red Sox by Melinda Boroson. The whole day had a baseball theme. The children decorated baseball bats, played baseball related games, had their faces painted like baseballs or baseball players and took home goodie bags with baseball bookmarks, paper and pencils. Everyone enjoyed the day.

Thanks to the school attendance department for providing transportation for the
ninth grade Ram Readers to come to the main building.
Later in the day the Ram Readers will host our own teacher and author Mr. Daniel
McNeil speaking about his book The Theater of the Impossible, also a book
about the Red Sox and baseball in a larger context.
We are proud to say that the Ram Readers also collected more than fifty pairs of
eyeglasses for donation to the Lions Club. They will be remade into
glasses for those who are unable to afford them as part of an international
effort by the Lions.
