The NHS is based on the four concepts of Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and character. Thanks to Advisor Ms. Donna Deegan for a job well done this year.  After the traditional Candle Lighting Ceremony, the Guest Speaker was introduced. Ms. Landers is the Academic Dean at LCHS and spoke of Mary Bemis, who the NHS Chapter was named after. Ms. Bemis was a gifted teacher and mentor who epitomizes the four concepts mentioned above. The new members were individually called up and congratulated by Principal Warren White.

The current Officers of the National Honor Society are : Daveth Cheth, President, Basant Badr, VP., Hongchau Huynh, Sec., and Sochitta Men, Treasurer.

Alba Ortega and LeJean Williams welcomed the Inductees and helped direct the Program.
