National Music and Art Honor Societies

Induction Ceremony 2010

It is quite exciting to start something anew at Classical, especially an Honor Society for student-artists of one kind or another. Classical is now  a member of the National Art Honor Society, Chapter 3175.  We are  also new members of the Tri-M Chapter of the National Music Honor Society.

Mrs. Klibansky, Art Teacher, and Mrs. Weiss, Music Teacher, prepare the Candle Ceremony.

The new Music Honor Society members played at the start of the Ceremony.

The Inductees:

Cara Garrity told the audience about the meaning of music to herself and thanked Mrs. Weiss for the variety of programs available. Cara will be going to Harvard University in the fall.

Cara

Peter Pham spoke of the personal importance of art in his life and his hopes to make it his   future. Peter will be attending Massachusetts College of Art in the fall.

Family and faculty were invited to attend.

The candle-light Ceremony is a nice tradition as each new member lit theirs.
