MIAA Playoffs vs N. Andover

2/28/2010

Before the Quarter Final game started , it was quite obvious - - - the North Andover team was taller and bigger than our sleek young men. We knew they were the top seeded team in the State but weren't sure how we would stack up against them. We were playing at their home Gymnasium and their stands were packed.

But we had rented extra buses to help our loyal fans get to this game.

Our team wasn't ready to end the season - - -  we were prepared to win !

Jasper, Tony, Nick, Ariel, and Josh were the starters.

Our Cheerleaders were ready to lose their voices at this game.

Tony shoots for a 3 pointer from the corner.

Our quick defense dominated North Reading in the first half.

Josh Cheever has shown much growth and promise as the season progressed.

Tony Wonde has been a big playmaker on the offense and defensive boards.

Opposing team plans were obvious - - - double team and shut down Jasper Grassa.

N. Andover couldn't stop Jasper from the outside 3 point shot.

They couldn't keep Jasper off the foul line, either.

The 3 point shot ( about 20' or further away from the basket) has become a staple of our game plan.

It was great to have students, teachers, and the Cheever clan in the stands.
