Memorial Day Assembly

Chris Lewis emceed the ceremonies. Sean Rosenthal led the Pledge of Allegiance. The Concert Chorus then sang the 'National Anthem'. Diana Naw spoke about the history of Memorial Day. The Chorus then sang 'Total Praise' by Richard Smallwood.

Chris then introduced Guest Speaker Walter Boverini spoke of the losses of soldiers in World War 2, in which he participated. Mr Boverini, from Lynn, is the former Massachusetts State Senate Majority Leader . Mr. Boverini also spoke of the similarities of the immigrant families living in Lynn  60 years ago to the newer immigrants in Lynn today.

 The Chorus then sang 'Imagine' by John Lennon, which pulls the same heartstrings almost every time one hears it. Bobby Adams and John Zall recited poignant and appropriate poems relating to the occasion. Josh Horgan from 'the Roadies' and Emely Pring, a Senior Class Officer, then presented Mr. Boverini with gifts of thanks. Principal White thanked the audience for their appropriate actions and response during the assembly. thanks to Social Studies teacher Frank Grealish and Music Director Michael Smith for coordinating the Memorial Day Assembly.
