Honors Government Classes Meet Mayor Kennedy

On Tuesday, January 18th, 2011, Mayor Judith Flanagan Kennedy came to Classical HS to talk to Dr. Harutunian's Honors US Government classes. Although students submitted questions in advance, the Mayor chose to answer questions from the classroom. She addressed issues from her three most successful endeavors in her first year in office. Students asked about contaminated properties in the city, handling the budget, and the outstanding work of the Water and Sewer Department. The Mayor felt her most outstanding accomplishment has been the full implementation of new technology throughout City Hall.

The Mayor is a graduate of Lynn Classical HS and this is her second visit to speak with classes at the school.
