The Drama Club will be performing on Saturday, March 5^th 2011in the Massachusetts State Competition.  A win on Saturday would put us in the semi-finals. 

We will be performing at Brookline High School at 3pm.  The students would love to see you there if you can make it.  Tickets (for the entire festival) are $10.

Students are performing a play titled Lockdown, which is about a group of students in a classroom during a lockdown.  They don’t know if it is real, or a drill, and the teacher leaves them to chase a student who panics and runs from the room.  The play is about how they cope with their fears. 

The kids have been working very hard, (they were here last week from 8-4 Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday)  and they are very excited.  They’ll be leaving Classical at 6am on Saturday to go to the competition and they won’t be back until about 10pm Saturday night.  It takes time to see 7 other schools perform their plays!  Then the awards ceremony… fingers crossed.  The same thing will be happening at 14 other schools around the state on Saturday.  If we move on to the semi-finals, we’ll repeat the whole process in two weeks.
