Webmaster's notes: This was considered of of the biggest games of the year by the Boston Globe newspaper. Undefeated Gloucester (ranked #3 in Easter Massachusetts) playing against Classical (ranked # 18) with only one loss. I have never seen our visitor stands so full in an away game.
After a loss in the first game of the season, we have been unbeaten. As the clocked rolled down to the last few minutes, either team could have won the game. Gloucester is used to scoring 30-40 points per game, Classical is usually 20-30 points.
Our defense played great, and so did theirs. Both offenses did well moving down the field but lost possession of the ball in key plays.
Aside from our annual Thanksgiving game against Lynn English, this was one of the most exciting games I have seen in the past ten years.
