SENIOR PLANS 2008 Updated 1/29/08
This list is intended for Seniors and their families to share their future plans with their classmates. It's also a wake-up call for those of you who haven't thought much about the future. Right now, we'd like to add information from Seniors who have heard from and been accepted to any colleges, have decided on military service, are planning to attend technical schools, or have made career decisions. Vincent Amento - has been accepted at Salem State College. Vinny is interested in the Criminal Justice Program and hopes to be on the Golf Team. Salem State has about 6,400 undergraduate students and is located on 108 acres near the ocean and Marblehead.
Liam Bransfield - has been accepted to Franklin Pierce University, New Hampshire. Franklin Pierce's Men's Soccer Team won the NCAA Division II National Championship in December, 2007.
Allison Burggren - has been accepted to Wheelock College, her first choice. Wheelock is a small Liberal Arts college, along the edge of the beautiful Riverway, in Boston.
Cathy Chipman - has been accepted at UMass Amherst. Cathy plans on being a Political Science major, but is still waiting to hear from other schools. The Amherst campus has about 20,000 undergraduate students on 1,450 acres and is located 90 miles west of Boston.
Jerrica Conley - has been accepted to the University of New Haven in Connecticut. UNH has about 2400 students located on 80 acres in West Haven, just minutes from the Atlantic Ocean.
Taylor DeFronzo - has been accepted to Salem State College. She is interested in Early Childhood Education. From 1932 to 1959, the school's name was Salem Teachers College; today, the School of Education gives out Bachelor and Master's Degree.
Sabrina Delance - has been accepted to Newbury College. She is planning on majoring in International Business. Newbury is located in Boston, next to the beautiful Fenway, and has about 1300 students.
PJ Flores - has been accepted to Curry College, and is planning to major in Business. Curry is located on 137 acres in Milton, MA, and has a student body of approximately 2000 students, and most live on campus.
Jetta Garrity - has been accepted to Worcester Polytechnic Institute. She received the Presidential Scholarship of $10,000 annually for her outstanding academic and personal achievement. Additionally, she was accepted to the University of Hartford and was selected to receive the President's Scholarship of $12,000 annually and admission to the University Honors Program. Jetta plans on studying biomedical engineering.
Patrick Manning - has been accepted to Salem State College and Wentworth Institute. He is interested in majoring in Criminal Justice or Engineering. SSC recently built a new Business School building with money donated by a wealthy graduate of the college. Wentworth is a co-op college, which has students complete work experience in the field, and is located in downtown Boston.
Tia Murkison - has been accepted to Bentley College. Located in Waltham, MA, on 163 beautiful acres, Bentley is considered a top business school with about 4,000 students.
Dillon O'Toole - has been accepted to his first choice, WPI ( Worcester Polytechnical Institute.) WPI has about 2,900 students, and is located on an 80 acre hill overlooking the city of Worcester.
Michael Reece - has been accepted to Bridgewater State College, Merrimack College, and Framingham State College. Michael is leaning towards Bridgewater as a Business major. Yahoo! Internet Life ranks Bridgewater State College as one of America's Top 50 Most-Wired Colleges.
Henry Renderos - has been accepted to Salem State College. SSC's tuition and fees for commuting students will run about $4000. For students living in the dormitories and using the full meal plan, add another $5,500, still a great bargain.
Alexander Rittershaus - has been accepted to Hampden-Sydney College, Virginia. Hampden-Sydney is the 10th oldest college in the United States, started in 1775. It has 1100 undergraduates students and is located in the countryside on 1200 acres about 50 miles SW of Richmond, VA.
Doneeca Thurston - has been accepted to Bucknell University, and has been given a full scholarship through the Posse Foundation. Bucknell has 3,400 undergraduate students and is located on 450 acres in Lewiston, Pennsylvania.
Alex Watley - has been accepted to Worcester Polytechnic Institute. At WPI, most students major in Science, Technology, or Engineering.
