Geometry Mrs. Story
Unit 5 – Triangles
The Triangles Unit has the following topics included: Interior Angles; Isosceles triangles; Equilateral Triangles; Right Triangles; triangle inequality; Pythagorean Theorem and its converse; Pythagorean Triples; and Special Triangles (30-60-90 and 45-45-90).
You can follow along in your text – Chapter 8 (Honors period F) pages 285-303
- Chapter 9 (Periods E and G) pages535-557
The class routine will be based on a series of problems (worksheets 1 – 12) that will be completed individually, in pairs, and in groups or stations. Please finish each worksheet at home if you are unable to complete it during the allotted class time – your completed worksheets are a part of your folder grade at the end of the quarter.
The follow up CAG questions are listed below.
Collect and Grade Problems – CAG’s
Please use a separate piece of paper for each CAG question – even if more than one are due on the same day.
Be sure to label each paper with your name, date, page number and problem number.
Each problem is worth 20% of a test grade.
If you hand in the CAG late - after 2:35 pm on the due
date – for whatever reason (did not pass it in on time; forgot it; left it in
grandma’s car…) – you will receive half credit – even if it is completely
correct.
Note: No CAG’s will be accepted after 1 week after its due date.
