The Quinnipiac University women's basketball team swept this week's Northeast Conference honors as sophomore Monique Lee was named the Choice Hotels/NEC Player of the Week and freshman Brianna Rooney was selected as the Choice Hotels/NEC Rookie of the Week. The selections are the first of their kind for both players. However, Lee earned Rookie of the Week honors as a freshman twice last season.

With Rooney winning Rookie of the Week, Quinnipiac retains the award, as Erin Kerner earned the honor during the previous award period. Lee, a 6-foot-1 forward from Lynn, Mass. averaged 18.7 points, 11.0 rebounds, 2.0 steals, and 1.0 blocks while shooting .455 (20-44) from the floor and .800 (16-20) from the free throw line while helping the Bobcats to a 2-1 week.

Lee started the span with a 20 point, seven rebound performance at Syracuse. She scored 17 of the 20 in the second half and grabbed all seven rebounds in the final frame to help the Bobcats to a 67-63 victory at the Carrier Dome.  Lee then racked up a double-double against the University of Central Florida, scoring 23 points and corralling a season-high 13 rebounds as the Bobcats cruised to a 71-55 win. To end the week, Lee compiled yet another double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds in the Bobcats' 67-59 loss to Stetson University.
Lee is currently ranks second in the conference in points (18.0), third in rebounds (9.6), and fifth in blocks (1.43), while pacing the league in free throw percentage (.837) and coming in at sixth in field goal percentage (.464).
