Rocket Science
A group of seventeen students at Classical formed a team and entered the Team America Rocketry Challenge, a national model rocket competition for U.S. high schools. With Mr. Lenihan advising,the students designed, built and are trying to fly a model rocket carrying two raw eggs as close as possible to 1250 feet. The rocket must then land without breaking the eggs. It has been a challenge, but they have the drive and determination to succeed.
They tried launching in November and again in February, unsuccessfully, but now felt ready. The date is Wednesday, 3/24/04. And................................
" I bet you a pseudobuck it won't hit 1000 feet !"
"Everyone, stay at least 10,000 centimeters away during ignition."
"The eggs, the eggs, save the eggs !"
...back to the drawing board one more time.
