Powder Puff Football
The showdown began at noon on Sunday, 11/23/03. Eighty-nine female members of the Senior Class at LCHS were dressed in their special football jerseys with green and gold accessories. The team was divided into numerous special units and had practiced many special plays. Coaches Runner and Greer had their game faces on, and so did the team, although many wore sparkles under their eyes instead of black paint.
With the cheers of hundreds of fans, family, and boyfriends, our Powder Puff team ran, blocked, passed, and defended against a fast Lynn English squad. Although we lost the game 19 - 14, another few minutes and we could have turned it around. The fans really got their money's worth, will an all-out effort by our Senior Girls team.
