Cultural Exchange Day - Friday, 2/04/05
What happens when you mix 27 Danvers High School students with 27 LCHS students representing 27 different countries and backgrounds ? Answer --- a good bit of fun and interaction. Mrs. Illingworth and our own Mrs. Hourihan brought their students together today, pairing up a Danvers student with a Classical student born in another country. Our students were chosen from the English and the ELL departments. They spent time discussing teen issues and cultural differences.
The students first corresponded by letter before meeting. Today, they were paired up and worked on a computer project together. They will be writing each other again before the end of the year.
