Around the School - Forensics and Ballistics

Currently in our Forensics Investigation Course we are studying the science of ballistics.  This involves both firearms and ammunition as clues to a crime.  The two labs the students are working on involve a number of issues of ballistics. They are using measuring calipers and spec sheets to identify shell casings, determining the caliber of bullets and deciding whether two fired bullets came from the same weapon.  We will later work on establishing the trajectory of bullets to establish the location of the shooter.
