Spotlight on the Classical Boys Basketball Team
Last night, the Boys team played Saugus at home. The team used hustle, speed and ball movement in a strong showing. Classical now has 9 wins against only 6 losses, very good for a rebuilding team. By halftime, we were up 10 points, by the end of the 3rd Quarter it was 21 points, and the game ended with a 65-41 score. Nick Grassa had 17 points, with five 3-pointers ! Shaddai Pena had 10 points, two from behind the 3 point line. Wally Abraham ended up with 7. Keith Nance had 4 important 3rd quarter points. Carlo Buono had 7 points and 9 assists. Josh Cheever had only 2 points but was very strong both ways. Joelle Reyes came in with 4 points in the 4th Quarter. Moise Builou had 2 3-pointers and 2 foul shots for 8 total points. Eraldo Custodio got 4 points. Tyler Lahue got some good floor time. Uche Nwokeji came up with a 2-pointer and two foul shots. The coaches are hoping to rely on big offense from Uche next season. Final score 65-41.
